Lori is one of the major characters of Shugo Chara!: The Movie, and the original anime's fan reboot, Shugo Chara!: Galactic Journey. His alter ego is Portal Beat (ポータルビート Pootaru Biito?).

Lori takes the form of a blind, 17-year-old brother, wearing a pair of glasses. Lori has his nose pierced with a small pearl-like accessory, while his ears, especially his earlobes, are pierced with a pair of black rings and small round ornaments. His hair is short and combed into split directions. Lori dons a black T-shirt with long sleeves underneath, as a "State of Trance" logo is printed on the shirt. He wears boot-cut pants and a pair of mismatched shoes, such as white and black. Around his waist is a belt.
As his ego, Portal Beat, Lori's attire is replaced by a electro-inspired kind, including a pair of headphones, a sleeveless top, and a pair of shorts. Lori uses his gloves with three, thick claws in each, and have ornaments on the wristbands, He wears legwarmers and shoes, then receives hexagon-shaped knee pads.
